Advancing Health for Communities and Nations

The Public Health Programme at University on the Niger is dedicated to preparing professionals who can address pressing health challenges in local and global contexts. As the world faces complex issues such as infectious disease outbreaks, environmental health risks, health inequities, and the demands of growing populations, the need for skilled public health leaders is urgent.

Our programme emphasizes evidence-based practice, health policy, epidemiology, digital health, and emergency response. Students learn to use modern data analytics, field research, and community engagement to design and evaluate effective health interventions.

By combining academic rigor with hands-on training in real-world settings, we prepare graduates to contribute to disease prevention, strengthen health systems, and improve population well-being. Our mission is to develop leaders who will drive positive change in public health, responding effectively to crises and shaping healthier futures for communities everywhere.
